Wow! What a year 2016 has been. I wonder what you are all reflecting on as we close the chapter on 2016 and enter into some very different energies of 2016.
In the ancient study of Numerology the 9 year brings you to the end of a complete nine-year cycle of your life or your company. If you did not know it, this is the year in that cycle to complete unfinished business, reach conclusions and tie up loose ends. These actions will help you step into the next nine years of your cycle without the pressure of unresolved matters or following and repeating old patterns that have not served you well. it is a time for renewal and stepping out into a new way of being and a new way of living. Isn’t that what the world is crying out for right now?
Here in the Emirates, certainly we have seen change happen rocking through the oil world, with restructure and merger being the theme. Literally throwing out the old, with the intention of transforming into leaner, more performance driven cultures. Innovation and creativity and diversity, are the current themes. Making way for the younger generation has been another recurrent theme in many companies.
As one door closes, the old saying says another opens, but if you refuse to accept that certain doors really have closed, you will be unable to recognize the new possibilities. This more than any time we are facing on a world level, is a time to face the absolute reality of our past – and how it is impacting our present, and then me must decide how we want to create our future. Our reality is not just a matter of where we stand today or where we want to be tomorrow. It is made up of everything that has ever happened to us, everyone we have ever interacted with, anything we have ever done, or felt.
Our hope for us in 2017 is that we can look back reflect and learn and dare to wish that in all of this chaos that we witness daily that from chaos will eventually come a collective will for change.

We have delighted in our spotlights of personalities sharing their experiences of business here in the UAE. Having been a media partner for over 20 events this year we have relished in the successes that our members have taken from these many gatherings. We look forward to posting and sharing more in 2017 and supporting events in HR and Talent development over the next 12 months.
